Naturopath-Perth-FAQ-Nurturer

What is a Naturopath?

A Naturopath is a Qualified Practitioner who had studies for a minimum of 4 years full time.

A recognised Naturopath will have the letters BHSc after their name.

Naturopaths look at all aspects of  life – sleep, stress, work, relationships, environment, dietary and lifestyle choices.

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can treat me?

I need to know what your presenting complaint is. Sometimes it is many things and thats ok 🙂

In general I can help most people improve their health and wellness, however there are some things that are beyond my scope of practice.

I can only treat as a Naturopath.

I am happy and able to work in with other allied health professionals to achieve your optimal care.

What do I need to do prior to my Initial Appointment?

1. Request copies of your blood tests from your Dr prior to the appointment.

2. Write down all of the things that you want to discuss.

3. Keep a food diary 3-7 days before appointment. You will be sent forms for this when you make your booking.

4. Take a picture of the front and back of any medications or supplements you are currently taking.

How do you normally charge for your services?

My Initial Naturopathic consultation is 1 hour in duration and $229.
This is prepaid if booking online or payable on the day with EFTPOS/Cash.

Supplements and herbal tinctures are extra and prescribed after discussion and confirmation.

I believe that our health system is in crisis and that Natural Health Alternatives should be available to everyone regardless of their current financial situation.

So I also offer affordable payment plans for those on a tight budget with immediate/acute health concerns.

What experience, skills, qualifications do you have to make you the right Practitioner for me?

I have a (BHSc) Bachelor degree in Health Science (Naturopathy) and 9 years of Institution learning to draw from.

I am a mother of 3 healthy adult children, so I have first hand experience in all aspects of motherhood, challenges, emotions, children and female hormones.

I provide a holistic approach to Health and Wellness. Most of my treatments are “food as medicine”.

I don’t like to over prescribe and try to keep the supplements to a minimum for cost effectiveness and client compliance.

What Days and areas do you service?

I am available 4 days a week, and after hours by appointment.

I have a beautiful consulting clinic in Quinns Rocks, where I also offer healing treatments in lymphatic drainage and infrared sauna.

I offer zoom/phone consults for those that can’t get to my location.

You can see my available days and times via my booking link here

Is there a particular aspect of your industry that you specialise in?

I specialise in Male and Female hormonal health,
with a particular interest in Male reproductive and hormonal health. This is an emerging area of study and a relatively little talked about subject.

Having said that – I treat anything from PCOS, Thyroid conditions, weight loss, emotional trauma healing, libido, depression, anxiety, menopause, pain, digestive complaints, allergies, childhood illness and anything that comes my way.You see most ailments can be successfully treated with the same principles.

If I am unable to treat you – I will advise quickly and refer where I can.

Are you a registered business?

I am a registered business and operate under a Family Trust.

What happens in the first appointment?

I offer a 60 minute consultation for $229.

In this time I ask many questions about your health, presenting symptoms, medical history, family history, diet, exercise and many more.
I provide a comprehensive Treatment plan within a week following your appointment.

What do you like most about your job?

The thing I love about what I do is healing people. I believe it is what I was born to do, it is my calling. When I get feedback from my clients telling me that they have had vast improvements, it reinforces my reverence of herbal medicines and their immense healing power, alongside the body’s innate ability to heal itself.
