FAQ

What is a Naturopath?

A Naturopath is a Qualified Practitioner who had studies for a minimum of 4 years full time.

A recognised Naturopath will have the letters BHSc (NAT) after their name.

I am 100% invested in my clients Health and Wellbeing. I endeavor to find the root cause of the symptoms that are presenting. I use a variety of methods to determine this. Treating a client is like a puzzle – sometimes it takes time, but the most important part is having all of the pieces.

Naturopaths look at all aspects of  life – work, relationships, environment, dietary and lifestyle choices.

What are the typical things that you need to know before you can treat me?

I need to know what your presenting complaint is. In general I can help most people improve their health and wellness. However there are some things that are beyond my scope of practice. I can only treat as a Naturopath. I am able to work in with other allied health professionals to achieve optimal care.

What do I need to do prior to my Initial Appointment?

1. Have blood tests emailed to me from your Dr prior to the appointment.
2. Write down all of the things that you want to discuss.
3. Keep a food diary 3 days before appointment (no judgement here).
4. Take a picture of the front and back of any medications or supplements you are currently taking. Or bring them with you to the appointment.

How do you normally charge for your services?

My Initial Naturopathic consultation is 1.5 hours in duration and $130.
This is payable on the day with EFTPOS/Cash.
Supplements and herbal tinctures are extra and prescribed after discussion and confirmation from my client.

I believe that our health system is in crisis and that Natural Health Alternatives should be available to everyone regardless of their current financial situation. So I also offer payment plans and discounted membership options for those on a tight budget with immediate/acute health concerns.

What experience, skills, qualifications do you have to make you the right Practitioner for me?

I have a Bachelor degree in Health Science (Naturopathy) and 9 years of Institution learning to draw from.

I am a full member of NHAA which is an Industry governing body for herbalists and Naturopaths.

I am a mother of 3 healthy adult children, so I have first hand experience in all aspects of motherhood, children and hormones.

I provide a holistic approach to Health and Wellness.
I don’t like to over prescribe and try to keep the supplements to a minimum for cost effectiveness and client compliance.

What Days and areas do you service?

My services are available 6 days a week, and after hours by appointment.

I offer zoom/skype/facetime online consults for people living in country/remote areas.

I have consulting rooms in Quinns Rocks, Inglewood, Fremantle and Bunbury.

Is there a particular aspect of your industry that you specialise in?

I specialise in Male and Female hormonal health. With a particular interest in Male reproductive and hormonal health. This is an emerging area of study and a relatively little talked about subject.

Having said that – I treat anything from PCOS, Thyroid conditions, weight loss, emotional trauma healing, libido, depression, anxiety, menopause, pain, digestive complaints and anything that comes my way.

If I am unable to treat you – I will advise quickly.

Are you a registered business and do you guarantee your work?

I am a registered business and operate under a Family Trust.

I also do 100% guarantee that you will be satisfied with my services. I go above and beyond for my clients.

What happens in the first appointment?

I offer a full 90 minute consultation for $130.
In this time I ask many questions about your health, presenting symptoms, medical history, family history, diet, exercise and many more.
I also provide a comprehensive Treatment plan and Functional Blood Interpretation for this one discounted price.

What do you like most about your job?

The thing I love about what I do is healing people. I believe it is what I was born to do, it is my calling. When I get feedback from my clients telling me that they have had vast improvements, it reinforces my reverence of herbal medicines and their immense healing power.
